A police chase in Nicosia unfolded at around 12:30 yesterday when officers signalled a driver to stop for inspection. According to the authorities, the driver failed to comply and attempted to escape, prompting immediate police action.

The vehicle was intercepted shortly after by police officers. The driver was arrested, along with a second person who was in the car.
