Cyprus’ Foreign Ministry expressed optimism for a positive outcome in accordance with the decision of the EU Foreign Affairs Council (FAC), regarding lifting sanctions on Syria.
Asked by CNA regarding the issue of the EU lifting sanctions on Syria, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Theodoros Gotsis, said that the process was ongoing.
“We are committed and optimistic for a positive outcome in accordance with the FAC decision”, Gotsis said.
