Man arrested over 11 Famagusta hotel burglaries

A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a series of Famagusta hotel burglaries, police said on Thursday.

The suspect was detained yesterday afternoon under a court warrant and is being held in custody to assist investigations.

According to the evidence under review, the man is believed to have been involved in 11 separate burglaries and cases of theft from hotel rooms in the Famagusta district. The incidents occurred between 18 July and 1 September 2025.

The Famagusta Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is continuing its inquiries.
