The father of two men accused of attempted murder in Limassol has been arrested for complicity, authorities confirmed. The attack occurred on Saturday night, 20 December 2025, in a café on Anexartisias Street, leaving a 36-year-old man injured.
Details of the attack
According to the investigation, the victim was initially assaulted with electric shock devices before being stabbed. He was hospitalised in critical condition but regained consciousness after several days and provided a statement to police.
Arrest and legal action
A warrant for the father’s arrest had been issued following the incident. He was located and taken into custody on Sunday afternoon in connection with his alleged involvement in the crime.
Related incidents
Following the attempted murder, unidentified individuals vandalised the barbershop of a 30-year-old suspect, also located on Anexartisias Street, police said.
