At around 7.00 p.m. yesterday, in an area of Limassol, a car driven by a 30-year-old woman, under circumstances that are under investigation, struck a 66-year-old pedestrian who was attempting to cross the road.
As a result of the collision, the 66-year-old was seriously injured and transported to a private hospital in the city.
According to the attending doctors, the 66-year-old sustained a skull fracture and a haematoma, and she is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit, with her condition described as serious to critical.
The causes and circumstances of the collision are being investigated by the Limassol Traffic Police.
