Police have arrested a lawyer in Limassol following a complaint by a 19-year-old woman alleging sexual harassment.
According to information, the Limassol lawyer was arrested followed allegations made after the young woman was questioned in connection with a drug possession case.
19-year-old questioned in drug case
The 19-year-old was arrested on Wednesday by members of the Drug Law Enforcement Unit during an operation in Limassol involving the alleged possession of a small quantity of drugs.
She was subsequently taken to the unit’s offices for questioning.
A lawyer was called to provide her with legal representation.
Complaint filed after proceedings
Following the completion of the process, the 19-year-old filed a complaint alleging that she had been sexually harassed by the lawyer.
Authorities subsequently proceeded with the lawyer’s arrest.
