A violent robbery took place in Limassol in the early hours of Friday, when a man stormed into a kiosk, assaulted an employee, and stole the cash register.
According to police, the incident occurred around 1:00am in the Ypsonas area. The suspect entered the kiosk and physically attacked the 29-year-old employee on duty. He then seized the cash drawer, which contained approximately €900, and fled the scene.
The victim sustained injuries during the assault, though the extent of these injuries has not yet been disclosed. Police confirmed that the Limassol kiosk worker was attacked without warning, in what appears to be a premeditated act of violence targeting the shop’s takings.

This is the latest in a string of late-night crimes in the Limassol area, prompting renewed calls for increased night patrols and tighter security at 24-hour establishments.
