Limassol International Documentary Festival meets Nicosia Municipal Theatre

Nicosia Municipal Theatre, at the heart of the city’s cultural life, launches a new series of free-entry events taking place on the last Sunday of every month, from 28 June through the end of August. 

The outdoor spaces and garden at the side of Nicosia Municipal Theatre will be transformed into an open-air urban summer gathering filled with cocktails, music, stand-up comedy, screenings and laid-back Sunday vibes.

Limassol International Documentary Festival x Nicosia Municipal Theatre

On Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August, the Nicosia Municipal Theatre, in collaboration with the Limassol International Documentary Festival, presents two standout screenings from this year’s festival, held on the side of the Municipal Theatre: The Oligarch and the Art Dealer and Still Pushing Pineapples. Free admission. 

Throughout the event, an outdoor bar serving drinks and cocktails will be open from 19:00 to 23:00.

Synopses

The Oligarch and the Art Dealer — Andreas Dalsgaard, 118′, 2026, Denmark, France, USA 
A gripping documentary exploring one of the most talked-about and mysterious cases to shake the art world: the fierce dispute between Swiss art dealer Yves Bouvier and Russian oligarch Dmitry Rybolovlev, sparked by billion-dollar fraud allegations.

Entertainment, working-class culture, human relationships, pop music, and contemporary British reality intertwine in a fun, subversive road movie following a faded pop star’s attempt to revive and hold onto his old glory.
