A 51-year-old foreign national allegedly caused damage outside the Social Welfare Services offices in the Agioi Anargyroi area of Larnaca.
According to police, the man went to the area carrying a crowbar and damaged five vehicles belonging to employees of the service.
Police respond and make arrest
Members of the Larnaca Police Directorate responded to the scene shortly after the incident.
The suspect was located and arrested on the spot for flagrant offences.
Authorities confirmed that the man remains in custody as investigations continue.
Investigation underway
The Larnaca Minor Offences Department is handling the investigation into the circumstances of the incident and the extent of the damage caused.
Police have not yet released further details regarding the motive behind the act.
