Israel notifies UN of withdrawal from agreement on UNRWA operations

The Israeli government officially notified the UN on Sunday that it is withdrawing from the agreement regarding the operations of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). This was reported on X by Barak Ravid, a reporter for the American news site Axios, who shared an exact copy of the letter from the Israeli Foreign Ministry. The letter was addressed to the President of the General Assembly, with a copy sent to the Secretary-General of the international organisation.
