Israel-Lebanon: Israel claims ceasefire has been violated

Date:

The Israeli military reported the presence of suspicious individuals in several areas of southern Lebanon, describing it as a violation of the ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah.

The ceasefire between Israel and the armed Lebanese group Hezbollah came into effect yesterday, Wednesday, following a U.S.- and French-brokered agreement. The truce aims to allow displaced individuals in both countries to begin returning to their homes in border regions that have been devastated by 14 months of hostilities.
