Isolated rain and a possible thunderstorm are expected on Monday, while a gradual temperature rise is forecast later in the week.
An unstable air mass is affecting the region, bringing isolated showers and a possible thunderstorm on Monday before temperatures begin to rise later in the week.
Cloud cover will increase locally at intervals during the day, with isolated rain or a thunderstorm expected around midday and early afternoon, mainly over the mountains, inland areas and the north.
Winds will initially be mainly north-westerly and light at 3 Beaufort, later becoming mainly south-westerly to north-westerly and light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort.
The sea will be slight, while temperatures will reach around 29C inland, 27C on the coast and 18C in the highest mountains.
Isolated rain possible overnight
Tonight will remain partly cloudy at times, with isolated rain possible mainly along the north-western coast.
Winds will be mainly north-westerly to north-easterly and light at 3 Beaufort, while the sea will remain slight.
Temperatures will fall to 14C inland, around 17C on the coast and 8C in the highest mountains.
More showers on Tuesday and Wednesday
The Cyprus rain forecast continues into Tuesday and Wednesday, when increased cloud cover at intervals is expected to bring local rain or a thunderstorm during the afternoon, mainly over the mountains and inland areas.
Temperatures are not expected to change significantly on Tuesday and will remain slightly below the seasonal average.
On Wednesday and Thursday, temperatures will gradually rise slightly, while Thursday will see periods of locally increased cloud.
The Cyprus rain forecast therefore remains unsettled through the middle of the week, although temperatures will begin a gradual recovery from Wednesday.
