Iran president: ‘Full-scale war’ with US, Israel and Europe

Date:

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian claimed his country faces “full-scale war with the US, Israel and Europe” more complicated than the 1980-88 Iraq war, killing over 1 million, published on Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s website Saturday. Pezeshkian stated West besieges Iran across livelihood, culture, politics, security, while blocking sales exchangesand trade, yet raising societal expectations demanding national unity to fix issues.

Remarks precede Donald Trump-Benjamin Netanyahu meeting, where Iran looms key after June 12-day air war uniting Israel-US killing nearly 1,100 Iranians, including commandersand nuclear scientists with Iranian retaliatory missiles killing 28 Israelis.

War comparison details

Pezeshkian contrasted Iraq clarity, “they fired missiles, I knew where to hit”, against multifaceted Western pressures creating constraints; Ayatollah echoed, claiming Iran overcame “heavy US army assault” via youth initiative, courage, and sacrifice at the Union of Islamic Student Associations Europe 2025 meeting.

Netanyahu expected to brief Trump on potential new strikes amid Israel’s ballistic missile program expansion concerns, per NBC.
