Infant death in Limassol: Autopsy set for tomorrow, no external injuries found

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a five-month-old baby in Limassol.

According to police, the baby was found unconscious by its mother in its cot at around 8 pm on Tuesday.

The infant was taken to Limassol General Hospital, where doctors confirmed the death.

The baby had no visible external injuries.

Post-mortem to determine cause

The exact cause of the death will be determined through a post-mortem examination.

The examination is expected to take place on Thursday morning at Nicosia General Hospital.

Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the infant’s death.
