Shops, supermarkets, and malls will take centre stage in the coming days.

General shops (including supermarkets) will operate until 18:00 on Christmas Eve (24th December) and New Year’s Eve (31st December).
On Christmas Day (25th December) and New Year’s Day (1st January), they will remain closed.


Holiday opening hours for Cyprus malls: How will the island’s 7 malls operate during the festive season?

Check In Cyprus gathered the holiday operating hours of Cyprus’ 7 malls for the Christmas season, as well.

Mall of Cyprus

  • Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve (24th & 31st December): Shops will remain open until 18:00. Start your festive celebrations with some last-minute shopping and holiday cheer.
  • Christmas Day & Boxing Day (25th & 26th December): Shops will be closed—it’s time to enjoy the festivities with loved ones!
  • New Year’s Day, 2nd January, and Epiphany: Shops will also remain closed, giving everyone the chance to celebrate the new year with joy.
  • Restaurants and Cafés: Open throughout the festive season for delightful meals and relaxing coffee moments with family and friends.

Nicosia Mall

  • Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve (24th & 31st December): Shops, including cafés and supermarkets, will remain open until 18:00, and restaurants until 20:00.
  • Christmas Day & New Year’s Day: The mall will be closed.
  • Boxing Day & 2nd January: Cafés, restaurants, and entertainment shops will be open until 22:30, but other shops and supermarkets will remain closed.

My Mall Limassol

  • Christmas Day & New Year’s Day: The mall will be closed.
  • 26th December, 2nd January, and Epiphany: Shops will remain closed, but the mall will otherwise operate as usual on all other festive days.

Kings Avenue Mall

  • Closed Dates: Shops will be closed on 25th & 26th December, 1st, 2nd, and 6th January.
  • Other Days: Operating hours will remain the same, and areas outside of shops will not be affected.

The Mall of Egkomi

  • Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve (24th & 31st December): Shops will be open from 10:00 to 18:00.
  • Christmas Day & Boxing Day (25th & 26th December): Shops will be closed, while cafés, the arcade, and restaurants will remain open.
  • New Year’s Day, 2nd January, and Epiphany: The same schedule applies as above.

Metropolis Mall in Larnaca

  • 26th December, 2nd January, and Epiphany: Retail shops and services will be closed.
  • Christmas Day & New Year’s Day: All shops will be closed, but other facilities will operate as usual.

Neo Plaza

  • 24th December: Shops will operate from 10:00 to 18:00, while the dining area and VOLTA will be open from 10:00 to 20:00.
  • 25th & 26th December: Only the shops will be closed.
  • 31st December: Shops will operate from 10:00 to 18:00, the dining area will remain open, and VOLTA will welcome guests from 10:00 to 19:00.
  • 1st January: Only the dining area will be open.
  • 2nd January: VOLTA (10:00 to 22:00) and the dining area will remain open.
