Hermes Airports affirms full security compliance

Hermes Airports responded to the European Commission’s recent decisions regarding Cyprus airports. The company stressed that all required security measures and procedures are applied without exception, in line with national and international regulatory standards.

Hermes conducts systematic and rigorous checks to ensure maximum operational safety.

Airport operations manual

The current airport operations manual, in force since 2006, has been fully updated with all observations and amendments. Authorities received the revised version in September 2024.

Fire and rescue services

Regarding airport fire and rescue services, Hermes clarified that under the concession agreement, the state retains full responsibility for these services. The company exercises no control over them.

Rejection of media reports

Hermes Airports stated that any media reports or claims questioning security at Larnaca and Paphos airports do not reflect reality.
