Halkidiki: dozens of aftershocks follow 5.2 magnitude earthquake

Dozens of aftershocks were recorded in the area of Nea Moudania following the strong 5.2 magnitude earthquake that struck yesterday afternoon in the sea area of Halkidiki, which was felt in Thessaloniki and other parts of Central Macedonia.

Scientists are closely monitoring the seismic activity and recording all data. The 5.2 magnitude earthquake, which occurred at 19:04 with an epicentre 12 kilometres south-southwest of Nea Moudania, caused no reported damage.
