Gun discovered at Limassol waste plant during sorting

Police in Limassol went on alert on Tuesday afternoon following a Limassol pistol discovery at the OEDA Pentakomo waste management facility.

Weapon found during rubbish sorting

According to police, a worker found the gun while sorting rubbish at the site. Officers rushed to the scene and seized the pistol as evidence.

Authorities described the item as a black pistol with a brown handle.

Forensic checks under way

Police will send the weapon for scientific examination to determine whether it is a real firearm or a replica.

Investigators are continuing inquiries to establish how the pistol ended up at the waste facility and whether it is linked to any criminal activity.
