Minister of Foreign Affairs, George Gerapetritis, will pay a visit to New York from Sunday, February 23 to Tuesday, February 25.
In the context of Greece’s term as a member of the UN Security Council for the two-year period 2025-2026, Gerapetritis will participate, on Monday, February 24, at 10 am (local time) in a meeting of the General Assembly and, at 3 pm, in a meeting of the UN Security Council on Ukraine.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs will meet, at 12:30 pm, with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, while at 6:30 pm, he will officially declare the beginning of Greece’s term on the UN Security Council at a special event at the United Nations.
On Tuesday, February 25, at 10 am, Gerapetritis will participate, in a Security Council meeting on the Middle East.
During his stay in New York, Gerapetritis will meet with representatives of the Greek Diaspora.
