The US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed on Monday that a fourth American service member has been killed in action since the start of military operations in Iran.
Soldier fatally wounded during initial attacks
The service member, whose name has not yet been released, was seriously wounded during Iran’s initial assaults and later succumbed to injuries. CENTCOM emphasised that major combat operations continue and that the US response effort remains ongoing.
President Trump warns of further casualties
President Donald Trump previously announced that three US service members had died and cautioned that more casualties are likely before hostilities conclude. “Sadly, there will likely be more before it ends… But we’ll do everything possible to minimise them,” he stated.
The US military continues operations in the region as tensions escalate, highlighting the ongoing risks faced by personnel deployed in the conflict.
