Four Israeli soldiers killed in southern Lebanon

Casualties rise amid renewed hostilities

The Israeli army announced the death of four soldiers in a single incident in southern Lebanon, bringing the total number of military fatalities to 10 since clashes with the Iran-backed Hezbollah movement resumed on 2 March.

Details of the incident

The army named three of the deceased: one officer with the rank of captain and two non-commissioned officers. The identity of the fourth soldier will be released after the family has been notified.

Additional casualties reported

The announcement also stated that one soldier was seriously injured and a reservist sustained minor injuries in the same incident. The Israeli military continues to monitor the situation in the south of Lebanon closely.
