Forest fire brought under control in Limni area of Polis Chrysochous

A forest fire that broke out in the Limni area of Polis Chrysochous was brought under full control earlier today, the Department of Forests announced.

The fire started at approximately 13:15, and thanks to the rapid response of firefighting crews, it was fully contained by 13:45, before it could spread further.

The firefighting effort involved four officers from the Department of Forests, using a single fire engine.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
