Foot-and-mouth disease: 3 new cases – 49 units infected

Recent epidemiological investigations, sampling, and laboratory tests have identified three new foot-and-mouth positive cases within the infected zone of Larnaca, specifically in the Dromolaxia–Meneou area.

Details of affected units

The three new units include two sheep farms with a total of around 240 animals and one cattle farm with approximately 118 animals.

Total infected units

Following this update, the total number of infected livestock units in the Larnaca region has risen to 49, according to the latest information from the Veterinary Services.
