A tragic crash in Skarinou claimed the life of 61-year-old Christakis Siailos during a motorcycle outing on Sunday morning.

According to police investigations, a group of ten motorcyclists was travelling on the motorway at around 8:30am when the fatal incident occurred.

The 61-year-old rider, who was travelling near the back of the group, reportedly attempted to avoid a dog that was on the road after being struck by a passing vehicle. He then appears to have lost control of his motorcycle and was thrown onto the carriageway.

The remains under investigation.
