Engomi residents warned over “bed sheet sellers” targeting homes

Residents of the Parissinos area in Engomi have been warned through a social media post after reports that two people are allegedly approaching homes under the pretext of selling bedsheets.

According to the Nicosia Observers, the alleged tactic involves two individuals, with one reportedly distracting the homeowner while the other attempts to identify valuables with the intention of stealing them.

Residents are urged to remain particularly cautious and not allow strangers into their homes, even when they claim to be selling products.

The warning comes at a time when reports of thefts have been recorded in the area, including incidents involving unlocked vehicles.
