Energy Ministry issues official announcement on time change

Date:

Cyprus will switch from summer time to winter time on Sunday, 25 October 2026, with clocks moving back one hour at 4am.

Under the change, clocks should be set back from 4am to 3am, giving residents an extra hour overnight.

The Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry confirmed the date in an announcement, noting that the seasonal time change is applied across all European Union member states.

When will Cyprus return to summer time?

The time change is governed by a decree published in the Official Gazette of the Republic on 9 July 2021.

Cyprus will return to summer time on the last Sunday of March 2027, when clocks will move forward by one hour.
