An earthquake was recorded on Wednesday evening and was felt in several areas across the island. Initial information from the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre stated that the tremor measured 3.9 on the Richter scale.
Epicentre and depth
The epicentre was located 36 kilometres west of Limassol, while the focal depth was estimated at 9.4 kilometres. Authorities continue to monitor seismic activity following the earthquake 3.9 on the Richter scale, although no further details have been issued.
