Warm weather continues across the island
A noticeable temperature rise is expected over the coming days, while thin dust is likely to remain suspended in the atmosphere.
According to the latest weather forecast, weak high pressure is affecting the region. Today’s weather will be mostly clear, with winds initially variable and light at 3 Beaufort, gradually turning mainly southwesterly to northwesterly at light to moderate strength of 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slight.
Temperatures are expected to reach 28°C inland, around 26°C on the southern and eastern coasts, near 24°C on the western and northern coasts, and 17°C in the higher mountains.
Clear skies with increased high clouds
Tonight, conditions will remain mostly clear, although periods of increased medium and high cloud are expected. Winds will blow northwesterly to northeasterly, while southeastern winds will affect northern coastal areas, remaining light at 3 Beaufort. The sea will remain calm to slight.
Temperatures overnight will drop to 12°C inland, around 15°C along the coast, and 9°C in the higher mountainous areas.
Dust likely to persist through Monday
The weekend and Monday are expected to remain mostly clear, with intervals of increased high clouds. Thin dust may continue to linger in the atmosphere.
The temperature rise will continue on Saturday, while temperatures on Sunday and Monday are expected to remain at similar levels, which are above the seasonal average.
