Police intercept vehicle and discover cocaine
Cyprus police have arrested a 27-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman in Limassol following the discovery of various drugs, anabolic substances, and cash. According to a police statement, the operation began Wednesday morning when members of the Anti-Narcotics Squad (YKAN) stopped the man’s vehicle for inspection.
Substances seized during initial search
During the vehicle search, authorities found two packages containing cocaine, weighing approximately two grams in total, and a separate package of four grams of cocaine inside the car, alongside one ecstasy pill, a precision scale, and €2,010 in cash. The man was initially arrested for a summary offence.
Home search uncovers larger quantities
A subsequent search of the couple’s residence, carried out under a court warrant, revealed 29 packages of cannabis weighing 293 grams, five packages of cannabis resin totaling 13 grams, three precision scales with traces of cannabis and white powder, six anabolic substances, €1,350, $100, and other evidence. The 39-year-old woman’s vehicle was also searched, uncovering additional drugs, including cannabis, magic mushrooms, cocaine, ketamine, MDMA, ecstasy pills, and four electronic cigarettes containing CBG.
Ongoing investigation and custody
Both individuals were taken to YKAN offices, re-arrested under court warrants, and remain in custody. Investigations by the Anti-Narcotics Squad are ongoing to determine the full extent of the case.
