Driver crashes into roadworks signs on Limassol–Paphos motorway

Date:

Traffic has resumed on the Limassol-Paphos motorway after a collision near Paramali temporarily closed the carriageway towards Paphos earlier on Wednesday.

According to police, the lane that was closed at around 11:00 reopened at approximately 13:00, with traffic now flowing normally.

Two vehicles involved

The collision occurred when two passing vehicles crashed before both struck road traffic management equipment at a section of the motorway where roadworks were in progress.

No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

One person taken to hospital

Police said one person was taken to hospital as a precaution, although no injuries were sustained.

The Limassol-Paphos motorway has since fully reopened, and motorists can travel through the area without restrictions.
