Dense fog in Cyprus caused disruptions on Tuesday morning (10 June), covering roads in multiple areas and briefly affecting traffic. The early morning mist created a striking atmosphere, though police urged caution due to reduced visibility.

Heavy fog on Kofinou–Larnaca motorway
By around 8:30am, traffic on the Kofinou–Larnaca motorway and the wider road network had returned to normal. Earlier, the dense fog in Cyprus had led to visibility issues, prompting warnings from the authorities.
Police reminded drivers to remain cautious and alert to avoid collisions and ensure safety on the roads.

A warm air mass continues to affect the region.
Today’s weather will remain mostly clear, though increased low cloud, thin mist, or fog is expected early in the day, particularly along the coast. In the afternoon, some cloud build-up is expected over the mountains.
Winds will start variable and light at 3 Beaufort, becoming mostly south-westerly to north-westerly later, light to moderate at 3–4 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough.
Temperatures will rise to 38°C inland, 27°C on the west coast, around 29°C on other coasts, and 28°C in the mountains.
Tonight will be mostly clear, though increased low cloud, mist or fog may return, mainly in coastal areas.
From Wednesday to Friday, weather will stay mostly clear, though fog and low cloud may form during early morning hours, especially in coastal areas.
Temperatures will remain stable and above average for the season.
