Demosthenous murder: Two Cypriots and one Greek arrested

Police have made three new arrests in connection with the Demosthenous murder case, which took place in Limassol on 17 October 2025.

According to police spokesperson Kyriaki Lambrianidou, the suspects are two Greek Cypriots and one Greek national. They were arrested under court warrants and have been remanded in custody.

The three suspects are expected to appear before the Limassol District Court at 11:30 a.m. on Monday.

It is noted that a 44-year-old former footballer has already been arrested in relation to the same case and remains in eight-day custody.

Meanwhile, Ms Lambrianidou confirmed that searches were carried out at the Central Prisons on Sunday night as part of the ongoing investigation.
