Cyprus weather stays hot as temperatures reach 37°C

Sunny conditions across the island

Cyprus weather will remain mostly clear on Wednesday as seasonal low pressure continues to affect the region.

According to the Department of Meteorology, temperatures are expected to reach 37°C inland, 29°C on the west coast, around 33°C along the remaining coastal areas and 27°C in the higher mountains.

Winds will be mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, initially light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, strengthening later to moderate to strong at 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough.

Fog possible overnight

Tonight, conditions will remain mostly clear, although periods of increased low cloud are expected.

During the early morning hours, patches of mist or fog may form in some areas.

Temperatures will fall to around 23°C inland and along the coast, and 17°C in the higher mountains.

Little change expected through Saturday

Thursday, Friday and Saturday are expected to remain mostly clear.

However, locally increased cloud is forecast to develop during the afternoon, with a slight chance of isolated showers over mountainous areas.

Temperatures are not expected to change significantly during the next three days and will remain slightly above the seasonal average.
