Cyprus weather forecast shows afternoon storms

Today’s Cyprus weather forecast begins with partly cloudy skies, before conditions turn mostly cloudy by the afternoon. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected, particularly in the mountains and southern regions. Hail is also possible within stronger storms, though these will be scattered.

Winds will start from the northwest to northeast, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, before gradually shifting to the northeast and southeast. By the afternoon, winds will generally reach 4 Beaufort and may temporarily strengthen to 5 Beaufort in windward coastal areas. The sea will range from slight to a little rough.

Temperatures will climb to around 16°C inland, 18°C along the coasts and 8°C in the higher mountains, remaining on the cool side for early December. According to the Cyprus weather forecast, a low-pressure system continues to influence the region, maintaining unsettled conditions through today.

Tonight, the weather will be partly cloudy with light winds from the northwest to northeast at around 3 Beaufort, locally increasing to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slight to a little rough. Temperatures will drop to 8°C inland, 12°C on the coasts and around 3°C in the higher mountains, where isolated frost may form.

Looking ahead to Friday and the weekend, the Cyprus weather forecast points to mostly clear conditions, though periods of increased cloud cover are expected at times. Temperatures will rise slightly on Friday and remain close to seasonal averages through the weekend.
