The weather forecast in Cyprus points to mainly fair conditions today, following the dissipation of light mist and low cloud cover. According to the Meteorological Service, skies will remain mostly clear, although locally increased cloud cover is expected during midday and early afternoon, bringing isolated showers, mainly in mountainous areas.
The weather forecast shows winds initially blowing southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. They will gradually strengthen to moderate to strong, reaching 4 to 5 Beaufort in some areas.
The sea will be slightly rough.
Temperatures across the island
Temperatures are expected to reach 29°C inland, around 23°C on the western coast, approximately 24°C in other coastal areas, and 18°C in higher mountainous regions, according to the Cyprus weather forecast.
Tonight, conditions will remain mostly clear, although occasional low cloud cover will appear. Early morning hours may bring patches of fog or mist, mainly inland and along southeastern coastal areas. Temperatures will drop to around 14°C inland and coastal regions, and 10°C in higher elevations.
Outlook for coming days
The weather forecast for Thursday and Friday remains mostly fair, with occasional cloud build-up that may produce isolated showers in mountainous areas during the afternoon.
On Saturday, conditions will become partly to mainly cloudy, with isolated showers and a slight chance of a thunderstorm, mainly in the mountains and inland regions.
Temperatures will remain stable on Thursday, before gradually dropping on Friday and Saturday to slightly below seasonal averages.
