The Cyprus weather forecast indicates increased medium and high cloud cover today, with a possibility of isolated light showers in some areas, according to the Meteorological Service.
Dust will also be present in the atmosphere, affecting visibility and air quality throughout the day.
Temperatures reach 31°C inland
Temperatures are expected to rise to around 31°C in inland areas, 25°C on the western coasts, around 27°C in other coastal regions, and 21°C in higher mountain areas.
Winds will initially blow mainly from the south to southwest at light to moderate levels (3 to 4 Beaufort), gradually strengthening locally to moderate to strong (4 to 5 Beaufort). The sea will be slightly rough.
Night conditions and fog risk
During the night, the Cyprus weather forecast shows mainly clear skies, although increased low cloud cover will occur at intervals.
Localised mist or fog may form during the early morning hours, mainly inland and in affected areas.
Temperatures will drop to around 14°C inland, 16°C on the coasts, and 9°C in higher mountainous regions.
Weekend outlook shows changing conditions
On Friday and over the weekend, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy, with a possibility of isolated showers on Friday and Saturday.
Temperatures on Friday are expected to drop slightly below seasonal averages, before rising again over the weekend, according to the Cyprus weather forecast.
