Average gross monthly wages of employees in Cyprus increased 4.3% in the third quarter of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.
Preliminary data from the Statistical Service shows the average wage reached €2,452, up from €2,352 in Q3 2024. On a quarterly basis, seasonally adjusted wages increased 0.7% compared to Q2 2025.
Wage differences by gender
The average gross monthly wage for men in Q3 2025 was €2,622. For women, it was €2,238.
Compared with Q3 2024, men’s wages rose 3.8% while women’s wages increased 4.9%.
Wage distribution by salary bands
Among men, the largest share (41.3%) earns between €1,500 and €2,999. Among women, the largest share (40.5%) earns below €1,500.
Wage distribution by nationality
For Cypriot employees, 43.9% earn between €1,500 and €2,999. For non-Cypriot employees, 49.1% earn below €1,500.
In the highest wage bracket (≥€6,000), 3.8% of Cypriots are represented. For non-Cypriots, the proportion is 7.6%.
