Cyprus Police is moving ahead with the procurement of vehicles to support the return of third-country nationals, with a total project budget of €2,494,987.90.

According to a police announcement, the project is titled “Procurement of Vehicles to Support the Return of Third-Country Nationals”.
Focus on safety and transport conditions
The new vehicles are expected to improve transport conditions and safety for both police officers and third-country nationals being transferred as part of return procedures.
The project also aims to improve the management of migration flows and ensure more consistent implementation of the EU acquis, the body of European Union laws and rules.
EU and Cyprus co-funding
The use of newer vehicles with lower fuel consumption is also expected to support improved environmental standards.
The project is being implemented under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund, with co-funding from the European Union and the Republic of Cyprus.
The announcement did not specify how many vehicles will be purchased or when they are expected to enter service.
