Date:

Government Spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis on Sunday said the aim as regards the informal meeting on Cyprus to be held in Geneva on March 17 and 18, is to become the step towards the resumption the negotiations from the point where they were interrupted in the summer of 2017.

In a post on “X” regarding the arrival of President Nikos Christodoulides and the Greek Cypriot delegation in Geneva for the expanded meeting convened by the UN Secretary General on the Cyprus problem, Letymbiotis notes that the aim is “for this meeting to become the step towards the resumption of the negotiations from the point where they were interrupted in the summer of 2017.”

“Our compass is the hope and perspective of a reunited, free, European homeland with respect for and defence of International Law, the United Nations Charter, the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council, and the principles and values of the European Union at its core”, he said.
