Limassol traffic accident
At 16:35, firefighters responded to a side-front collision between a private car and a commercial truck on Vasileos Pavlou Avenue in Limassol. Using a special immobilization board, they rescued a seriously injured driver and handed him over to the ambulance crew, which provided first aid and transported him to the Limassol General Hospital Emergency Department. One fire/rescue vehicle attended the scene, and the operation concluded without further complications.
Paphos warehouse fire
Shortly after, at 16:53, firefighters tackled a blaze at a small metal warehouse on a rural road between Kissonerga and Emba in Paphos District. The warehouse, built with a metal frame and sheets, stored aluminum materials, timber, and various tools. Part of the roof collapsed during the fire. Firefighters extinguished the flames using water hoses, deploying two fire engines.
Initial assessments indicate the fire started from burning waste in a nearby pile and spread quickly to the warehouse.
