Cyprus elected as GRECO Council member

Date:

Cyprus has been elected as a member of the Council of the Group Against Corruption (GRECO) of the Council of Europe.

The election took place during the 985h plenary of the Group, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Friday in a press release.

“During the election process, Alexia Kalispera, Senior Attorney of the Republic, who represents the Republic of Cyprus in the group was elected as a member of the GRECO Council,” it added.

The Ministry said it supported Kalispera’s bid in the context of the significance it places in the more active participation of Cyprus in international fora and organisations.
