The updated medicine prices came into effect today, the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (RIK) reports.
The revision affects 291 products out of a total of 2,419 pharmaceutical items. Patients’ contributions have increased for 197 products and decreased for 94.
Accessing the new price list
The new price list is available on the Ministry of Health and GeSY websites, detailing the revised prices and the changes in patient contributions.
Patient protection measures
The Health Insurance Organisation clarifies that patients are not required to pay higher contributions if a cheaper alternative with the same active ingredient and strength is available.
