Clear skies and strong winds as temperatures set to rise again

Cyprus weather will remain mostly clear today, with temperatures reaching 37°C inland, according to the Meteorological Service.

Winds will initially blow from the northwest to northeast at 3 to 4 Beaufort, gradually shifting to southwesterly to northwesterly at the same strength. Along the southern coast, winds may temporarily strengthen to 5 Beaufort.

The sea will be slight to a little rough.

Temperatures are expected to reach 37°C inland, 32°C on the west coast, around 35°C along the remaining coastal areas, and 28°C in the higher mountains.

Clear conditions overnight

Tonight, the weather will remain mostly clear.

Winds will be mainly northwesterly at 3 Beaufort, occasionally increasing to 4 Beaufort, while the sea will remain slight to a little rough.

Temperatures will fall to around 24°C inland and along the coast, and 19°C in the higher mountains.

Temperatures to rise from Tuesday

The Meteorological Service forecasts mainly clear skies on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Temperatures will increase on Tuesday before remaining at similar levels on Wednesday and Thursday. They are expected to stay above the seasonal average throughout the period.
