President Nikos Christodoulides will travel to Athens on Tuesday to attend an event marking the establishment and operation of the Cyprus branch of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA).
According to an announcement by the Presidency, the President will be among the main speakers at the event.
Reception by Greek President
Upon arrival at the venue, President Christodoulides will be received by the President of the Hellenic Republic, Konstantinos Tasoulas, as well as by the university’s rectorate authorities.
The visit underlines the strengthening of educational and academic cooperation between Cyprus and Greece, particularly in the context of the establishment of the EKPA Cyprus branch.
Return to Cyprus
President Christodoulides will be accompanied by Deputy Government Spokesperson Yiannis Antoniou and other officials.
He is expected to return to Cyprus later in the afternoon.
