Christmas bonus: 40,000 more people will benefit

Date:

The Government has made decisions regarding the special Christmas bonus for 2024.

The scheme includes new categories of individuals deemed in need of assistance. As President Nikos Christodoulides stated, an additional 40,000 people will benefit, raising the total number of recipients to over 100,000.

“In addition to those who received the Christmas bonus last year, we will include national guards, new mothers, repatriates, families with three or more children receiving child benefits, and single-parent families entitled to allowances, regardless of income category or savings amount.”

The total cost of the bonus amounts to approximately €20 million, an increase of over €3 million compared to the decision made during the same period last year, President Christodoulides noted.
