Spanish police in Ceuta began moving hundreds of migrants from beaches to a new tent camp in the port area of the Spanish enclave on Friday.
During the operation, police struggled to control the crowds as migrants gathered to secure a place in the new camp after spending weeks living on the beaches.
Tens of thousands of migrants crossed the border from Morocco in July. Most later returned to Morocco, but several thousand are estimated to have remained in Ceuta.
The transfer aims to move the remaining migrants away from the beaches and into temporary accommodation in the port area.
