Car arson attack under investigation in Larnaca

Date:

A car arson attack in Larnaca prompted an emergency police response in the early hours of Thursday morning.

According to initial reports, four vehicles were deliberately set on fire at a car rental office located on the coastal road in Pyla. Authorities believe the incident was a targeted arson attack.

Preliminary investigations suggest that two individuals arrived at the scene in a vehicle and used a flammable substance to ignite the cars. The suspects reportedly approached the premises before setting the vehicles ablaze.

A security guard stationed at the site told police he heard several gunshots during the incident. However, no injuries were reported, and it appears the shots were not directed at him.
