Cabinet meeting to discuss schools and new facilities

The Cabinet meeting is taking place today, marking the second session of the Council of Ministers since President Nikos Christodoulides’ recent government reshuffle.

According to government sources, the agenda includes a proposal from the Ministry of Education for the operation of three additional all-day schools.

New fire and police facilities

The Cabinet is also expected to consider two proposals from the Ministry of Justice and Public Order concerning the construction of a new Fire Station and a new Police Directorate in the city.

The agenda also includes the creation of a national strategy and the establishment of a national committee for multiple sclerosis.

Subsidies and fiscal policy

According to the same sources, subsidy-related issues from the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment may also be discussed.

The Cabinet is also expected to consider the Finance Ministry’s six-month fiscal policy report.
