Book bazaar in Nicosia to support stray animals

Date:

A popular charity book bazaar is returning this June, offering thousands of books at affordable prices while raising funds to support stray animals in need.

The event is organised by P.A.W.S. in cooperation with the “Yfantourgeio” Book Club.

It will take place on Saturday, 6 June, from 11:00 to 17:00 and on Sunday, 7 June, from 11:00 to 18:00.

Books from €1 for a good cause

Organisers say visitors will find a wide selection of both new and second-hand books, with prices starting from just €1 to €5.

All proceeds from the book bazaar will go directly towards medical treatment, food and other essential expenses for stray animals cared for by the organisation.

Community event for book and animal lovers

Visitors will also be able to enjoy coffee or tea while browsing at Yfantourgeio TheWorkplace, creating a relaxed atmosphere for readers and animal supporters alike.

The organisers are also encouraging members of the public to donate books ahead of the event. Donations can be arranged by phone or text at 99769011.

Promoting reading and animal welfare

Beyond fundraising, the organisers say the event aims to promote community spirit, reading culture and the reuse of books, while helping animals without homes.

The annual book bazaar has become a popular local initiative combining charity, sustainability and support for animal welfare.
