Controlled drugs and untaxed tobacco products were seized in the early hours of Thursday during coordinated inspections at three kiosks in the Famagusta district, authorities have confirmed.
According to a statement from the Police Communication Branch, officers from the Cyprus Police, together with customs officials, carried out a search shortly before 1:00am at a kiosk in Famagusta. At the premises, authorities found and confiscated 101 unused metal canisters believed to contain nitrous oxide—a controlled substance—along with a metal cylinder and 47 balloons.
